Classes and Events

Autumn has arrived, and with it a renewed desire to learn and create! I’ve spent the summer designing all kinds of classes and workshops for youth and adults. Here’s what I’ll be offering over the next several months.

I’m proud to be teaching at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. I’m continuing to focus on adult workshops, which will be happening in person at our studio….very exciting!

*Classes will take place at the AGGV Studio, located at 1040 Moss Street and are subject to change based on the up-to-date BC provincial health and safety guidelines. Classes may move to an online format if necessary.

To register, and for further information, contact Oona McClure, Studio Coordinator at, register online at, or call 250-384-4171 ext. 0.

I am happy to continue teaching a daytime art class at St. Margaret’s School, an exceptional private girl’s school in Saanich established in 1908. Now I’m running an after school art program there as well.

As the Family Sunday Coordinator for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, I have the pleasure of helping to design, coordinate and facilitate our monthly art making event at the gallery. For now families are participating virtually, and it’s my job to make this long distance art experience exciting, entertaining and meaningful to all who participate. Have a peek at our truly delightful October 2020 Family Sunday video:

An especially gratifying part of my art life is facilitating workshops in conjunction with the Salvation Army, who run a program for men who have been incarcerated and are recovering from drug addiction. Equally exciting has been designing and facilitating art programs for Victoria’s Cool Aid Society, the Intercultural Association of Victoria, and Bridges for Women, a Vancouver Island community agency which offers support to women who have been impacted by violence or abuse.

Art Starts is a charitable organization that brings artists from the worlds of theatre, dance, music and visual arts into the BC school system. Teachers can access Art Start’s online Artist Directory and choose who they’d like to bring into their classroom for a day, a week or longer. Now I’m part of their roster of artists. To see my profile there:

I’m now offer personalized online art workshops for organizations or individuals. Just think, an art experience designed just for your workplace, your group of friends, or your children! Please contact me if you’d like to know more.

In my studio I’m illustrating for publications, organizations and events, plus creating my own art for shows. Speaking of which, my online show, “52 Designs for Wearing Your Insides Outside” is now available for viewing on this very website! I add a new image each week to the show, so I invite you to visit often.

If you have questions, comments or suggestions I’d love to hear from you. Have yourself an autumn filled with happiness and creativity.
