After the relaxed pace of summer, we jump into autumn renewed and invigorated….right? Here are the classes and workshops I’m offering this fall.

At the AGGV I’ll be teaching Early Art Explorers for children aged 2-3 (with one caregiver). This is such a fun class! We learn about shape, colour and more as we play with all kinds of art media. Regular trips to the gallery and storytelling enhance the magic.

Also at the AGGV, I’m heading up In Creative Company, a studio class for adults (18+), where we’ll play with a wide array of media and techniques in a convivial, informal setting. Join me in our warm, inviting studio space where you’ll have access to my artistic guidance while making art your own way, in the company of others.

The AGGV’s Screen Printing Uncovered (18+) is my one evening introduction to screen printing on fabric. At the end of this class you’ll go home with a piece of art you can be proud of, which can even be turned into a cushion or place mat just in time for Christmas giving.

Art From the Start – It’s all about process in this engaging art-making class for children aged 2-4 and their caregiver. Young ones will be guided in their exploration of materials, textures and shapes. Expect painting, collage, sculpture and other exciting projects! Infant siblings in strollers are welcome, and drop-ins are encouraged ($13.00) if space allows.

Home Learners’ Art, for home schooled children aged 6-12, invites creativity and imaginative thinking in a welcoming, all inclusive environment. For youth aged 12-17, may I suggest my ‘Zine Workshop? Teens will create their own graphic novel-ette, employing a wide range of art materials. I’ll show students how to hand letter, how to combine art and text, and how to use a variety of media for maximum originality and expression. All supplies are included.

Illustrated Travel Journals – Adults, gather your travel images and we’ll combine drawing, painting and collage to make one-of-a-kind record of your trip. Pro-D Day Book Workshop – In this lively afternoon workshop for 6-9 year olds we’ll paint, draw, do some printmaking and tin embossing, and at the end we’ll have made wildly creative art books! All materials are included.
Friday, November 24th, 1:00-4:00 PM
Pro-D Day Shadow Box Workshop – 9-12 year olds will have fun combining layers of materials to make a fascinating little world in a box. Hallowe’en is near….we can make it spooky! All materials are included.
