I love the dark days of winter. They invite us to slow down a bit, allowing us to connect with our desire to create. With that in mind, here are the classes and workshops I’m offering over the next several months.
I’m proud to be teaching at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. I’m running both adult and children’s classes, with many new and exciting options for art making! Classes take place at the cozy AGGV Studio, located at 1040 Moss Street.

This is a fun filled mixed media camp which celebrates the joy of experimentation, exploration and discovery, arising from independent and collaborative art activities. PLUS, we’ll have several visits to AGGV exhibitions….a week of artful mornings awaits!

As with my morning camp, we’ll be diving into mixed media experimenting, exploring and discovering with an array of 2D and 3D media. There will be both independent and collaborative art activities, and visits to the AGGV gallery exhibits. A week of artful afternoons awaits!

Young artists aged 6-8 will enjoy expressing their creativity though painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, print making and the ever-popular building station, all in the spacious Cedar Hill art room! Focus is on developing skills and confidence in this process based class, designed to stimulate imagination and excite the senses.

In this joyful art journey, young ones aged 2-4 (along with one caregiver) will be guided in their discovery of colour, texture and shape, in a range of materials including painting, collage and sculpture.
As the Family Sunday Coordinator for the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, I have the pleasure of helping to design, coordinate and facilitate our monthly art making event at the gallery. It’s been fulfilling to experience the return of in-person gatherings at the AGGV!
An especially gratifying part of my art life is facilitating workshops in conjunction with the Salvation Army, who run a program for men who have been incarcerated and are recovering from addiction. Equally exciting has been designing and facilitating art programs for Victoria’s Cool Aid Society, the Intercultural Association of Victoria, and Bridges for Women, a Vancouver Island community agency which offers support to women who have been impacted by violence or abuse.
It is a joy to be designing and instructing art programs for Kindergarten to grade 4 at St. Margaret’s School, an exceptional private girl’s school in Saanich established in 1908.
In my studio, as always I’m illustrating for publications, organizations and events, plus creating my own art for shows.
